Over the years, we have been blessed with a plethora of amazing RPGs taking inspiration from one another and each (sometimes) being even better than the last, and one RPG that comes to mind is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Despite existing long before The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt arrived on the scene in 2015, this fantasy RPG set in the lands of the Continent helped put Polish developer CD Projekt RED on the map and the studio hasn't looked back ever since.

Check out The Witcher 3 next-gen trailer below!

Over the years The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt would arrive on other platforms including a very impressive port for the Nintendo Switch. It would also receive a gorgeous free new-gen upgrade on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in December 2022.

The success of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt far exceeded the world of video games and would not only see graphic novel and board game adaptations, but it would also get a live-action series debut on Netflix in 2019 which is now entering its fourth season. However, the charismatic Henry Cavill will no longer be playing Geralt of Rivia in the adaptation as the mantle has now been passed on to Liam Hemsworth.

As you can imagine, when The Witcher 4 was announced by CDPR in March 2022 in partnership with Epic Games, it was met with a lot of excitement from fans. No release date has been announced for The Witcher 4 yet, but we know it will be powered by Unreal Engine 5.

While we wait to see the first gameplay footage of The Witcher 4, concept developer Digital Dreams has taken matters into its own hands. A video uploaded to the Digital Dreams YouTube channel called 'This is how The Witcher 4 should look' gives us a taste of what the game may look like.

The bedazzling Unreal Engine 5 upload features no characters or gameplay, but the walkthrough video of the gothic graveyard and old church is a sight to behold and fans in the comments section are mightily impressed.

"Very stunning visuals! Thanks for the atmospheric footage!" said Twentyonebynine. "Dude, if The Witcher 4 looks like this, I'm never leaving my house," replied tedahwooga.

Whenever The Witcher 4 arrives it's likely to be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. That's assuming it releases this console generation.
